I used to think that a better title, a bigger paycheck, or the next career move would automatically make work feel better.

I have since learned that attorneys can reach those goals and still feel frustrated, exhausted, or disconnected from their work.

Career satisfaction involves more than professional achievement. It also involves understanding what you need from your work, such as autonomy, recognition, connection, security, growth, or flexibility.

When those needs go unmet for long enough, even a successful legal career can start to feel disappointing.

Before asking, “What career move should I make?” ask yourself, “What do I actually need from my work?”

That question can help you understand whether the problem is the career itself or something specific that is missing from your current role.

That is one reason I created this workbook. It can help you identify what you need from your career and better understand why your current role feels the way it does.

What do you need from your career right now that you are not getting?

If you want to explore those questions more deeply, the workbook is available in the link in bio!
